Frank the Dogtopus started with one clever, full of energy Irish Setter named Frank—and a house that suddenly felt a little too full during the pandemic. With four adult kids moving back home, Frank quickly realized she wasn’t getting quite the attention she deserved. A playful puzzle seemed like the perfect way to keep her busy—and happy.

After months of experimenting and fine-tuning, we landed on a design that’s durable, mentally engaging, and made from recycled cotton with all-natural rubber treat chambers. Dogs can tug, pull, and puzzle their way to hidden treats, keeping tails wagging and minds sharp.

Dogtopus is about celebrating the joy of playful, silly products—the ones that make noses twitch, tails wag, and hearts smile. Inspired by Frank (our honorary team member), Dogtopus isn’t just a toy. It’s meant to join the family, bringing a little extra fun and happiness into everyday life.

Hi, I’m Ian, creator of Frank the Dogtopus. With 27 years as a dog owner and experience in consumer goods manufacturing, I wanted to design a durable, mentally stimulating toy that keeps dogs engaged and happy. I'm thrilled to say, I believe we did just that. 

We’re excited to share Frank and hope it brings joy—and a little extra breathing room—to your home. Early-bird Franks are offered to build a community of dog enthusiasts, and we can’t wait to hear your questions and ideas.
